About This Role
As a Product Designer at Early Careers, you'll lead design initiatives that transform how graduates discover and pursue career opportunities. You'll collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to create user-centered solutions that bridge the gap between talent and opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
Product Design
- Lead design for core product features from concept to launch
- Create user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes
- Conduct usability testing and iterate based on feedback
- Ensure designs meet accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1)
Design Systems
- Develop and maintain our design system and component library
- Document design patterns and best practices
- Collaborate with engineers on implementation
- Establish design tokens and maintain consistency
Collaboration
- Work closely with product managers to define requirements
- Partner with engineers to ensure design fidelity
- Mentor junior designers and provide constructive feedback
- Present design work to stakeholders and leadership
User Research
- Plan and conduct user interviews and surveys
- Analyze user behavior through quantitative data
- Synthesize research findings into actionable insights
- Develop user personas and journey maps
Requirements
Experience
- 5+ years of professional product design experience
- Proven track record of shipping successful products
- Experience designing for web and mobile platforms
- Portfolio demonstrating design process and outcomes
Visual Design
- Exceptional UI design skills with attention to detail
- Strong understanding of typography, color, and layout
- Ability to create engaging visual experiences
- Experience with motion design and micro-interactions
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
- Experience with prototyping tools (Framer, Principle)
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS fundamentals
- Familiarity with design system management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field
- Strong understanding of UX principles and methodologies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to articulate design decisions clearly
Day-to-Day Work
In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex user problems through elegant design solutions. You'll participate in design critiques, user research sessions, and product strategy discussions. Our design process emphasizes rapid iteration, user validation, and attention to detail.
You'll own the design for major product initiatives, from initial concept to final implementation. We value designers who can think strategically while executing at a high level. You'll have the opportunity to shape our design culture and mentor junior team members.
